عربيLet’s talk

From interest to enquiry: the path most brands leave broken

The campaign worked. So why isn't anyone getting in touch?

From interest to enquiry: the path most brands leave broken

Before the next step

The ads get clicks. The reels get views. The page gets traffic. And sales still say the enquiries are "not serious". Somewhere between interest and a real conversation, the path breaks, and more budget at the top won't fix a leak further down. Here's where the path usually breaks, and how to repair it.

Where it breaks

1. The landing page has no single job. It tries to explain everything to everyone. Visitors leave without knowing what to do next. 2. Nobody is qualified early. Every form submission is treated the same, so sales time goes to people who were never going to buy. 3. WhatsApp is an afterthought. In Saudi Arabia and Egypt, WhatsApp is often the most natural first contact. When replies are slow or the conversation starts from zero, interest cools fast. 4. Marketing and sales count different things. Marketing celebrates submissions. Sales wants opportunities. Without a shared definition of a qualified enquiry, both teams are right, and the business still misses target.

How to fix it

One page, one job. Each campaign gets a page with one clear action. Write it for the market and in the language your audience uses. Qualify with a few good questions. Ask about the goal, the starting point, the team and the market before the first call. Explain why each question is needed and offer something useful, such as a starting brief. Keep qualification proportionate to the next step. Design WhatsApp as a path. Set clear reply times, a first message that picks up from what the person already told you, and a hand-off to a named person. Agree on what "qualified" means. Write a shared rule for what counts as a qualified enquiry. Then report three things separately: submissions, bookings and sales opportunities. The gaps between them show you where the path is broken. Measure the whole path. Use consistent UTMs on external campaign links and carry the acquisition context into the CRM where appropriate. Connect this with qualification and sales outcomes; click tracking alone does not establish enquiry quality.

A simple test

Take one campaign from last month and count three numbers: how many people submitted, how many booked a conversation, and how many became real opportunities. If submissions are high and opportunities are low, investigate where people drop off and whether the campaign attracts the right audience before increasing spend.
